Euphoria, Priscilla and Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi has landed a new role in an Australian miniseries.

Variety reports that Elordi will star in The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a love story set in the aftermath of the Second World War, which focuses on an Australian doctor who escapes from his wartime captivity and becomes an unlikely hero.

The five-part series is an adaptation of Richard Flanaghan's 2013 novel, and has been in development for several years.

But production is finally underway now, with Elordi joined by The Stand's Odessa Young and Game of Thrones and Belfast actor Ciarán Hinds.
