A host of British clubs are in the hat as Liverpool, West Ham, Brighton and Rangers all re-enter the competition at this stage, having received a bye for the knockout play-off round as group winners.


Last night, the ties between group runners-up and Champions League third-place teams were completed with AC Milan, Roma, Benfica and Marseille among the teams to qualify.
