BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Europe's relations with the United States could do with less drama, the European Union's chief executive said on Friday, chiding Washington for seeking to deal with member states on a bilateral basis rather than the bloc as a whole.

Jean-Claude Juncker said he will travel to Washington to present the EU's view on trade in July, saying that he was wary what he suspected was the United States trying to divide the union into different member states.

"We should de-dramatise this relationship," Juncker told reporters.
