Meet Eddie Murphy's blended family.

The star of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and Shrek voice actor is the father of 10 children, who he has welcomed with five different women.

Murphy's blended family consists of six daughters and four sons total. He is a parent to Eric, 34, Bria, 34, Christian, 33, Myles Mitchell, 31, Shayne Audra, 29, Zola Ivy, 24, Bella Zahra, 21, Angel Iris, 17, Izzy Iona, 8, and Max Charles, 5.

Despite his busy career as a Hollywood actor, Murphy prioritizes his children and called them the "center of everything" during an appearance on Marc Maron's WTF podcast in 2021. "I am going to be 60 in April and I have all these babies... I love fatherhood," the comedian said at the time.

"The whole idea of being out there and doing three movies a year, that s--- is over," he continued. "I found over and over again and along the way I realized that if you put your children first you never make a bad decision."

“He's crazy about his kids and his family," Murphy's Beverly Hill costar Judge Reinhold told PEOPLE about the actor. "He's a family guy at heart. Truly is. He really is."

Murphy shares his eldest child with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, one son with former girlfriend Tamara Hood, five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell and a daughter with Melanie Brown (better known as Mel B from the Spice Girls).

The Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F star is married to Paige Butcher. The couple got engaged in 2018 and tied the knot during a private Caribbean wedding on Tuesday, July 9. Together they have a daughter Izzy and a son Max.

Paulette McNeely

Murphy welcomed his first baby, son Eric, with then-girlfriend Paulette McNeely. Though little is known about their relationship, McNeely had Eric on July 10, 1989, and he is the only child they share together.

Nicole Mitchell

Murphy shares five children with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell, a model who he met in 1988 and wed in 1993. They welcomed their first child together, daughter Bria, in November 1989 — a few months after McNeely gave birth to Eric.

Mitchell and Murphy went on to have four more children together: son Myles in November 1992, daughter Shayne in October 1994, daughter Zola in December 1999 and daughter Bella in January 2002.

In 2005, Mitchell filed for divorce from Murphy after 12 years of marriage. Murphy issued a short statement about their divorce, explaining, "The welfare of our children is our main concern and their best interest is our first priority."

Since their split, neither the actor nor model have publicly commented on what caused their breakup. In August 2012, though, Mitchell spoke about their history and current state of their relationship.

"Eddie and I are friends," Nicole told Radar Online after appearing on season 1 of Hollywood Exes. "He's my babies' daddy so we speak to each other and have a great relationship and I think that's important when you have children involved. We can be in the same room and hang out, it's all good!"

In 2016, Murphy and Nicole proved their friendship to be true when they stepped out together to support their daughter Bria's film Amateur Night at its premiere.

Tamara Hood

In between the arrival of two of his children with Mitchell (daughter Bria in November 1989 and son Myles in November 1992), Murphy welcomed son Christian with his ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood in November 1990.

Little is known about their relationship at the time or since, but Christian shares photos alongside his siblings on Instagram.

Melanie Brown

Murphy welcomed his eighth baby, daughter Angel, with Melanie Brown (aka Mel B from the Spice Girls) in April 2007, after a passionate but short-lived romance in 2006.

"Our relationship may have been brief but it was intense," Brown previously told Larry King. "We were very much in love and wanted to have a family together. That's that. I mean we're both tattooed. You don't tattoo somebody's name on your body if it's brief and unimportant, let's put it that way."

However, Murphy and Brown dealt with legal issues when their child was born. Murphy initially disputed Angel's paternity, but Brown said that the two had discussed marriage and children and the pregnancy was not a surprise. (Murphy confirmed his paternity with a DNA test in June 2007.)

"This was a completely planned pregnancy," the "Wannabe" singer told Essence in 2007. "This wasn't some random, 'Oops, I fell over and I'm pregnant.' I don't live my life like that. … As soon as I had my IUD removed we proceeded to get pregnant. It happened quicker than we expected but it was perfect timing."

In August of that year, Brown sued Murphy for sole legal and physical custody of Angel.

Brown shared further insight on her relationship with Murphy in her book, Brutally Honest.

While promoting the book in November 2018, she explained, "I wanted to address [their relationship] because a lot of people have a misconstrued thing of how everything actually did happen ... And at the end of the day we have a beautiful daughter together, Angel, who is 11 years old, and she's actually staying with him right now whilst I'm here working."

A source told PEOPLE earlier that year that Murphy is "an amazing father" to Angel.

"She texts Eddie and is on the phone with him all the time. She loves her dad," the source said.

Paige Butcher

Murphy welcomed his ninth child, daughter Izzy, with Paige Butcher in May 2016. The actor and Australian model have been together since 2012.

In August 2018, news broke that the actor was expecting his tenth child (and second with Butcher). The couple got engaged that September and welcomed their son, Max, in November 2018.

About a month after Max's birth, Murphy's daughter Bria introduced him to the world with an Instagram post on Christmas. The family photo featured the comedian looking happy while standing in the center of the group, as Butcher cradled their then-3-week-old son.

The couple didn't make many public appearances alongside one another in the years that followed. However, they turned heads when they hit the red carpet together at the 2023 Golden Globes, when the actor was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

In June 2024, Murphy referred to Butcher as his "wife" two separate times while appearing on The New York Times' The Interview podcast. "I used to be so hip, I used to know who everybody was, and now there's just so much stuff. [I] ask my wife, 'Who's this person?'" he said.

On Tuesday, July 9, the couple got married in Anguilla during a small private Caribbean ceremony in front of family and close friends. Butcher wore a corseted gown adorned with lace designed by Mira Zwillinger, while the groom wore a white Brioni suit.
