From who is nominated to who is hosting, here's everything to know about the 96th annual Academy Awards

The biggest night in Hollywood is upon us!

On Jan. 23, the full list of Oscar nominations was unveiled, revealing which star-studded movies and actors would be up for awards during the upcoming ceremony.

Oppenheimer led the race with a whopping 13 nominations, followed by the Emma Stone-led Poor Things, which earned 11, Killers of the Flower Moon with 10 nominations, and last year's biggest hit Barbie scoring eight.

The 96th annual Academy Awards will be held this March, featuring some of the biggest and brightest stars in the entertainment industry. (The show will also feature a familiar face as the host.)

Who is nominated for the 2024 Oscars?

The 2024 Oscar nominations included some award-season favorites along with some shocking snubs and surprises. For the Best Picture category, the nominees include American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest.

Meanwhile, the Best Actor category includes Bradley Cooper for Maestro, Colman Domingo for Rustin, Paul Giamatti for The Holdovers, Cillian Murphy for Oppenheimer and Jeffrey Wright for American Fiction.

Rounding things out, the Best Actress category includes Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Hüller for Anatomy of a Fall, Carey Mulligan for Maestro and Emma Stone for Poor Things.

Who is hosting the 2024 Oscars?

The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, which will mark his fourth time in the gig.

Who is performing at the 2024 Oscars?

Ahead of the ceremony, the Academy announced which stars will be taking the stage. Representing the Barbie movie, Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson will perform "I'm Just Ken," while Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell will perform "What Was I Made For?"

Additionally, Jon Batiste will sing "It Never Went Away" from his Netflix documentary American Symphony, Becky G will perform "The Fire Inside" from Flamin’ Hot and Scott George and the Osage Singers will perform "Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)" from Killers of the Flower Moon.

Who is presenting at the 2024 Oscars?

The Academy has been rolling out the list of presenters ahead of the ceremony in March. The first round of presenters included Mahershala Ali, Nicolas Cage, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brendan Fraser, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ke Huy Quan, Sam Rockwell, Michelle Yeoh and Zendaya.

Shortly after, the Academy announced even more stars slated to take the stage, including Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Keaton, Regina King, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate McKinnon, Rita Moreno, John Mulaney, Catherine O’Hara, Octavia Spencer and Ramy Youssef.

Additionally, it was announced that five past winners will introduce the current nominees in all four acting categories. The format was hugely popular among viewers and was last done at the Oscars ceremony held 15 years ago.

When are the 2024 Oscars?

The 96th annual Academy Awards will be held Sunday, March 10, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will air live on ABC starting at 7:00 p.m. ET (an hour earlier than usual).
