Everything We Know About Hallmark's New NFL Movie: 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story'
We all know of the Kansas City Chiefs' star celebrity couple: pop star Taylor Swift and tight end Travis Kelce, but now there is a new Chiefs love story ready to take center stage. Hallmark is partnering with the NFL, particularly the Kansas City Chiefs, to create a brand new football-centric Christmas movie this year!
The new movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, will film entirely in Kansas City, MO, and will even include shots inside of the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium. Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story is set to premiere during Hallmark's annual Countdown to Christmas event, with filming currently underway.
"By blending the warmth of Hallmark storytelling with the excitement of professional football, we are thrilled to give audiences a front-row seat to this community's spirit, rich traditions and passionate fans that define Kansas City, all wrapped up in the comforting and uplifting Hallmark way," says Darren Abbott, Hallmark's Chief Brand Officer.

In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Story, Alana and her family of Chiefs super-fans are competing in the "Fan of the Year" contest. A love connection develops between Alana and the Director of Fan Engagement, Derrick, who is responsible for evaluation the competitors on the intensity of their fandom.
Just as everything seems to be going as planned, the family's good luck charm goes missing. Alana starts to loose hope in her relationship and everything she once believed in. A dose of Christmas magic is exactly what Alana needs to bring her out of this funk.
Tyler Hynes (Three Wise Men and a Baby), Hunter King (The Santa Summit) and Ed Begley Jr. (Young Sheldon) will star in Holiday Touchdown: A Chief's Love Story.
Hallmark and the NFL's partnership will also include special Chiefs x Hallmark merchandise, game day activations and more. Both Hallmark and the Chiefs have a strong connection to the Kansas City community, making the partnership a no brainer. Plus, Hallmark points out that over 50% of Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas viewers also tuned in to sports during the holiday season in 2023.
An official premiere date has yet to be announced, but we're already counting down to this year's Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark Channel!
