EVOS Legends are the champions of MPL Indonesia Season 7

EVOS Legends have been crowned as the champions of Season 7 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia after they defeated Bigetron Alpha, 4-2, in the grand finals on Sunday (2 May).

EVOS Legends finished the eight-week regular season of Season 7 with a 9-5 record, good for second place in the standings and a direct seed to the second round of the playoffs. They had a strong start to their campaign, scoring a 2-1 victory over seventh-placed team Genflix Aerowolf, who emerged as the dark horse team of the season.

In the closely-contested upper bracket finals on Saturday (1 May), Bigetron Alpha defeated EVOS Legends, 2-1, to secure the first spot in the grand finals and send their opponents down to the lower bracket finals.

Genflix Aerowolf continued their Cinderella run in Season 7 and defeated the league's top regular season team, ONIC Esports, to face EVOS Legends for the second spot in the grand finals. However, EVOS Legends were finally able to put a stop to them in a 2-0 sweep to force a rematch with Bigetron Alpha for the championship of Season 7.

The finals kicked off with a bang, as Bigetron Alpha outlasted their opponents in a 31-minute slugfest to take the first game of the series. However, EVOS Legends quickly struck back in game two, tying up 1-1 the series with a 19-minute victory.

Bigetron Alpha survived relentless aggression from EVOS Legends in a 20-minute game three to go up 2-1, but unfortunately for them it was all downhill from there. Game four looked to be in the hands of Bigetron Alpha, but EVOS were able to mount a comeback to tie up the series 2-2 and gain momentum.

While Bigetron Alpha looking spent after the first four games, EVOS Legends were able to ride their momentum to dominate games five and six to secure the 4-2 series win and become crowned as the latest MPL Indonesia champions.

With their victory, EVOS Legends claim the lion's share of the league's US$300,000 prize pool and add the championship trophy for MPL Indonesia Season 7 to a case that already includes two past trophies from MPL Indonesia Season 4 and the M1 World Championship.
