Exclusive: Drag Race star teases Celebrity Mastermind stint
Drag Race UK star Cheddar Gorgeous is soon set to return to screens, but this time they’ll be showing off brains instead of beauty.
The queen, who famously made it all the way to the season four finale of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, will be sitting down opposite quizmaster Clive Myrie in the next episode of Celebrity Mastermind.
Getting into competition mode, Cheddar will be taking on fellow celebrity guests including Strictly Come Dancing’s Jayde Adams, Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Danny O’Carroll, and Coach Trip’s Brendan Sheerin.
Cheddar’s shared their excitement for the upcoming episode and has teased what fans can expect from their stint on the iconic BBC quiz show.

Chatting exclusively with Digital Spy, the drag performer revealed they’re ready to show off their knowledge and take a seat in the famous Mastermind chair.
"I've got Celebrity Mastermind coming up," Cheddar enthused. "A nice cerebral activity although in a little bit more of a fun and camp television-y way."
Further detailing their passion for the show, they added: "Mastermind is a fun show. It can be silly and yet also you hopefully come away feeling you’ve learnt a little bit and had a good time."
However, Cheddar kept tight-lipped about their chosen specialist subject so fans will have to tune in on Friday December 1 to find out which topic they’ll be quizzed on.

Cheddar’s brainy abilities are no secret as they spoke about their academic achievements while on Drag Race UK.
Proudly holding a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Manchester, the iconic queen became the first person with a doctorate to compete on the show back in season four.
Celebrity Mastermind airs Fridays at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
