Exclusive: Hollyoaks stars promise huge shock in Sienna, Ethan and Rafe story
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks stars Anna Passey and Matthew James-Bailey have promised that a huge twist is coming in the ongoing Rafe Harcourt plot.
The pair's characters Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams launched an outrageous plan to con Rafe out of his fortune earlier this year, sparking a long-running storyline.
Sienna kicked things off by faking a break-up with Ethan and pursuing Rafe, hoping to marry him and claim a stake of his millions. More recently, the pressure of the con has pushed Sienna and Ethan to breaking point, tearing them apart.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards 2023, Anna teased: "We've been filming really flat out. It's a real fast pace for us – there's loads of great content.

"With this storyline, the one thing that I've been teasing is that people think it's one thing. But actually, this storyline is something completely different – that people can't possibly see coming yet.
"In the meantime, we've got lots of ups and downs. We've got all the games that we want from Sienna and Ethan and our other players in that story. But I think it's going to be a shock to people."
Discussing how the audience are currently in the dark, Matthew added: "I don't think they could fathom it at this point.
"I know when we were told, and we found out, our jaws were on the floor. I'm very excited for the audience's reaction."

Earlier this month, Rafe's sister Dilly dropped a bombshell on Sienna by revealing that the Earl is dying.
This sparked speculation from fans over whether Dilly was telling the truth or not.
Asked to set the record straight, Anna laughed: "Can't possibly say at this stage! It's nice that people don't want him to die [but] we can't give anything away."
