Power Book II: Ghost spoilers follow.

Power Book II: Ghost star Michael Rainey Jr has teased that there will be some “rocky” moments in the third season of the show.

The actor, who plays Tariq St Patrick on the Starz series, spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about the latest episode in the series, which aired last night (March 31).

The newest developments saw Tariq, Cane (Woody McClain), Brayden (Gianni Paolo) and Effie (Alex Lapri) team up to shift Noma’s (Caroline Chikezie) supply, using the nifty slogan ‘No cap, all Frapp’.

“Like I said, you know that trust factor is getting, it's getting a little chippy. I mean, they’re working [together] pretty well you know,” he said about the team, before discussing the cups.

“They have a great system – the ‘No Cap, All Frapp’ system is pretty fire. It's smart [and] genius, and it's working [but] the trust will get a little messed up in between all four of them.”

Much of the drama stems from the events of the previous season, with Cane, Effie and Brayden setting up Lauren (Paige Hurd) in the finale.

Though they assume her to be dead, it was revealed in the opening episode that she was very much alive, and Rainey Jr revealed the group will begin to doubt each other.

“Obviously, Tariq doesn't trust Cane at all, so trust with Cane is like out the window,” he said. “But as far as Tariq, and Effie and Brayden go, trust is going to get a little messed up.

“It's going to affect the work a little bit, but right now they’ve got to make the money. They’re working together pretty well, [but] stuff will get rocky.”

Power Book II: Ghost airs on Starz in the US and streams on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
