Fans of Stephy Tang and Alex Fong clash over breakup
18 Mar - The breakup announcement made by Stephy Tang and Alex Fong seems to have divided their fandom into several factions.
As reported on Mingpao News, back on 17 March, the couple announced their breakup after ten years of relationship via their agency, Sun Entertainment, saying that the two of them will remain as friends despite the separation.
No detail has been released as to the reason of their breakup.
However, the news seemed to cause the outrage of Stephy's fans, who stated that Alex has wasted Stephy's youth, and apparently her best fertile years, for the last ten years.
Some also blamed Alex of refusing to settle down with Stephy, and accused the singer of having an affair with another woman.
On the other hand, Alex's fans defended him, saying that there is no proof that it was him who didn't want to get married, and that Alex has even said in an earlier interview that he wants to get married before the age of 35.
Meanwhile, others are expressing hopes that the two of them will one day reconcile and end up together like Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui.
