A father of three from Georgia has gone viral after he wrote an open letter to Ariana Grande about Monday’s bombing in Manchester. Patrick Millsaps’s letter, addressed to “Miss Grande,” has received more than 22,000 retweets and 45,000 likes on Twitter. He writes about how the singer has been part of his family “for years” and that his daughters, aged 13, 12, and 12, have shaped him into an Arianator who may or may not know every episode of Sam & Kat, Ariana’s Nickelodeon spin-off. On a more serious note, Millsaps, a former talent manager, tells Ariana that she has nothing to be sorry about, referring to the tweet she posted following Monday’s attack.

“I’m afraid I need to set you straight girl. So listen up and receive some redneck love from a daddy of daughters,” he writes. “You don’t have a dadgum thing to apologize for. If some jackass had gotten drunk and killed someone with his car next to your hotel in Manchester, would you feel responsible? If the night before your concert, a tornado had hit Manchester and tragically killed several people who were going to go to your concert; would you feel the need to apologize?”

He goes on to say that Ariana should take all the time off she needs. “Spend time with your God, your family, and your friends who will give you space and support when you need it. Hell, go lick as many freaking donuts as you want. Girl, you deserve it!” But he encourages her to return to the stage whenever she's ready, because her music has meant the world to his daughters and her fans. “Every time you open your mouth and share that incredible God-given gift to the world, you make this crappy world a little less crappy.”

Monday’s attack killed 22 people and injured as many as 120 others after a suicide bomber denoted a homemade bomb in the foyer of Manchester Arena. Ariana has since suspended the rest of her "Dangerous Woman" tour and returned to her hometown of Boca Raton, Florida.
