Felix Wong refuses to visit ailing father

26 Feb – He may be a good husband to his wife Leung Kit Wah who was diagnosed with scurvy late last year, but Felix Wong reportedly has been ignoring his father even though the 84-year-old man is currently ill.

Oriental Daily reported that the 52-year-old actor has yet to visit his ailing father despite being informed about Mr. Wong's condition. A source claimed that it was due to their poor relationship that the actor has been acting that way.

It was believed that Felix has been that way with his father since Mr. Wong remarried 50-year-old Lau Wun Chan in 2007, seven years after Felix' mother passed away.

A source claiming to be Felix's uncle, explained that Mr. Wong had purchased a flat worth HKD 300,000 (approx. USD 38,662) years ago, which he decided will go to his current wife after he dies. Reportedly, Felix felt that Lau is only with his father for his money.

Meanwhile, Lau revealed that Mr. Wong had undergone surgery for ileus, a blockage of intestines caused by the lack of peristalsis that helps move food through the digestive system. However, he was later diagnosed with pneumonia and has been going to and fro the hospital since November.

Mr. Wong reportedly has also been hospitalised recently due to high fever and has not been able to recognise anyone, including her.

Lau revealed that she has been taking care of her husband and that her son has even quit his job to help her. She also expressed her hopes that Felix would come and visit him and help his father financially.

"I don't mind if he is angry at me, but I hope he can take a little bit of responsibility and hire someone to help out," said Lau.
