The final 99 homes of a 250-home development in Effingham, which includes a replacement school, have been given the green light by councillors.

Guildford Borough Council's planning committee approved the application at a meeting on Wednesday.

A similar previous application was dismissed at appeal.

The approved plans had been adapted to impact less on the nearby Little Bookham Conservation Area and All Saints Church.

The overall development was given outline permission for up to 295 homes in 2018.

Applications for the replacement school and 159 homes on the north side of Lower Road were subsequently granted.
