First look at This Is Us star Mandy Moore in Dr Death season 2
A new trailer for season two of anthology series Dr. Death is here, revealing the first look at This Is Us star Mandy Moore in her latest role.
Premiering on December 21, the eight-episode season is based off of the Wondery podcast episode titled 'Miracle Man', telling the story of real-life thoracic surgeon Paolo Macchiarini.
Moore stars as investigative journalist Benita Alexander who becomes involved with Paolo (Édgar Ramírez), after approaching him to write about his career.
In the eerie teaser, Paolo can be seen walking towards Benita along an empty hospital corridor. "The work I do could change the world," Paolo can be heard saying as the trailer cuts between the doctor at work and Benita attending a lavish event.

"What did you do, Paolo? What did you do to them?" Benita can also be heard saying in another clip.
An official synopsis of the season describes Macchiarini as "a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations", adding: "When investigative journalist Benita Alexander approaches him for a story, the line between personal and professional begins to blur, changing her life forever.
"As she learns how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors halfway across the world make shocking discoveries of their own that call everything about Paolo into question."

Jennifer Morrison and Laura Belsey directed the second season, with Luke Kirby, Ashley Madekwe and Gustaf Hammarsten rounding out the cast.
Joshua Jackson had previously starred in season one, which followed the story of a Christopher Duntsch, a Texas-based surgeon convicted of maiming one of his patients.
Dr. Death season 2 will begin streaming from December 21 on Peacock in the US.
