Ceremony to Dedicate POW/MIA Chair of Honor to Include Remarks From World War II Veteran and POW

SOUTH PORTLAND, ME--(Marketwired - February 10, 2014) - On Tuesday, February 11th at 4:00pm, the Maine Chapter 1 of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. will be holding a ceremony to dedicate the first permanent public installation of a POW/MIA Chair of Honor in the state of Maine. Both the chair and the ceremony will be located at the International House of Pancakes at 195 Maine Mall Road in South Portland, Maine.

The President of Rolling Thunder Maine 1, Tim DeCosta, will lead the ceremony. The dedication will feature remarks from the sponsor of the chair, Leon Tanguay, a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and POW from Sanford, Maine.

The chair itself was made in North Berwick, Maine by Rolling Thunder's official POW/MIA chair partner, Hussey Seating Company. Hussey will also have representatives attending the dedication ceremony.

The POW/MIA Chair of Honor will remain perpetually unoccupied in honor of the over 91,000 military service personnel who are or were prisoners of war (POW) or have been declared missing in action (MIA).

The event will be attended by Rolling Thunder's own veterans, in addition to Maine veterans from the American Legion, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
