Five Met police officers are due in court after allegedly being involved involved in a fight outside London’s Southbank Centre and on a nearby bridge.

Scotland Yard said it received calls shortly after 11pm on December 1, “reporting that people were fighting on Jubilee Bridge and by Royal Festival Hall, South Bank”.

An investigation was launched.

Five police constables aged in their 30s have since been charged, the Met revealed on Tuesday.

PC Jack Sparkes, 32, is charged with battery and affray, while PC Kellsey Millar, 31, is charged with assault and affray.

PC Max Michaels-Dubois, 32; PC Dan Dean, 37; and PC Alex Fackeral, 30, are charged with affray.

All five are set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (June 26).
