Florence Pugh explains what's unique about working with Christopher Nolan

The clip from The Story of Our Time: The Making of Oppenheimer sees Florence Pugh, who played Jean Tatlock in the movie, explain what's unique about working with Christopher Nolan.
"I think every single person has come to set knowing that they have been hired because, somewhere along the line, Chris thought that you did a good job, and this goes for crew as well," she noted.
"I've never been in an environment where the crew and the cast are so desperate to show what they can do that it creates this incredible buzz."

Oppenheimer marked Pugh's first time working with Nolan, but it was Cillian Murphy's sixth movie with the director whose philosophy he sees as "keep on shooting".
"I've shot on the side of a mountain with Chris in a snowstorm and the soundman's portable mixing thing froze, but we kept on shooting. That's how he is, he leads from the front. He's got such stamina and determination that the rest of us follow," Murphy praised.
The clip also has Nolan reflecting on his approach to filmmaking, saying that he tries "not to be self-conscious" and views himself more of a "craftsman who's been doing this for some time".
"I've learned a lot over the years and I've learned a lot from the people I've worked with," Nolan explained.
"The nice thing about establishing trust over time with crew members is that they're happy to be pushed because they understand that I'm there on that journey with them, I'm not going to leave them hanging. We're going to succeed or fail together."
