Fool Me Once's Michelle Keegan's husband pays tribute following show success

Michelle Keegan's husband Mark Wright has paid tribute to her following the success of her Netflix series Fool Me Once.
Keegan stars as Maya Stern in the psychological thriller series based on Harlan Coben's novel – and it leaves viewers guessing who killed Maya's husband Joe right up until the end of the show's eight-episode arc.
In a sweet Instagram post, former TOWIE star Wright reflected on his wife's dedication to her craft, and the show's popularity after its release on New Year's Day.

"I can't tell you how happy and proud I am for this incredible woman I call my wife," he wrote. "It's hard for people outside to see the work that goes in to an actor's life behind the scenes to get to the top.
"People might think that it comes easy, they just roll up and do their job but it couldn't be further from the truth."
Wright mentioned Keegan's efforts to avoid becoming typecast after her breakthrough role on Coronation Street, referring to her "nerves leaving the soap that made her over a decade ago" and "trying so hard to be taken seriously as an actor".

"The hours and hours late at night reading scripts, after 15 hour days, attacking emotional and mentally draining scenes, living away from her family on the other side of the world, being told no, no and no time after time, worrying that her performance is going to be slandered in the media after all of the above, believe me isn’t easy but she keeps going and keeps growing, always smiling!!" he added.
Wright continued by saying seeing the love that Fool Me Once is getting makes him "so proud and even emotional".
"This is your time babe, this is what it's all been for, keep shining girl," he added.
Fool Me Once is available to stream on Netflix now.
