Former radio deejay Bernard Lim is in hospital after suffering a stroke, reported local media on Monday evening.

Lim, who is currently local broadcaster MediaCorp’s managing director for television, reportedly experienced a brain aneurysm that resulted in a stroke, and remains in critical condition, although his vital signs were said to be stable.

He was at home when the incident occurred on Sunday and underwent an operation on Monday, the reports said.

In a follow-up statement, the company confirmed that Lim was hospitalised on Sunday, and requested that the public respect the privacy of Lim’s family as they focused on his well-being and recovery.

Lim is probably best known as a longtime deejay with Perfect 10 987FM at MediaCorp, starting there in 1992. He then moved up the ranks within the company, working through programming and media planning, and then spent six years at entertainment group LifeBrandz, where he left as CEO in November last year.
