Former EastEnders star John Partridge reveals whether he'd return as Christian
Former EastEnders star John Partridge has revealed whether he’d reprise his role as Christian Clarke.
The actor has had two stints on the BBC soap, making his debut in 2008 before leaving in 2012, and then returning for several appearances between 2014 and 2016.
In an interview with InsideSoap, the actor teased a return to the soap, revealing that he would be happy to make another appearance in Walford.

"I loved my time there, so I would absolutely consider it," he said, before speaking about the importance of diverse representation on the small screen. "I think it’s so important to have gay representation on TV, be that me or anybody else, but I think the show is doing a great job at that currently.
"I reckon Christian is quite happy in Birmingham for now, down the Bullring on a Saturday getting a few bits in," he added, before addressing the legacy of the storyline with Syed Masood. "I’m contacted on a daily basis by people saying ‘Viva Cryed’ or ‘Cryed Forever’.
"It’s a story that helped young people - and older people too. I never had any reaction to it that was remotely twisted. From 80-year-old nans to white van men, it was all: ‘Go Christian.’ And I know it’s not like that for lots of people on EastEnders," he added.

Partridge previously addressed the subject of a return after there were rumours of a shock comeback for Rita Simons’ Roxy Mitchell, who was killed off in dramatic circumstances in 2017.
"Well, listen, they’ve done it before. They’ve risen people from the dead before so you never know, do you?" he said. "I think if Rita did make a miraculous recovery, I do think that for Christian it would be his duty to have one final rock 'n' roll. I think he would have to come back from Birmingham."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
