Browne-Sykes, who is now a roofer, previously opened up about the pressures of fame, and people recognising him from Hollyoaks.

Appearing on the Just Real podcast, Brown-Sykes said: “Going to work every day, working on people’s roofs and them recognising you from Hollyoaks is a hard thing to deal with at first – especially when they make comments and don’t realise what they are saying to you,” he said.

Despite that, Brown-Sykes also shared that he was trying to move back into acting.

“I'm just trying to crack on with my acting, trying to pursue that career,” he said. “It's a lot tougher than people think. It's a lot of waiting for the right opportunities to pop.”

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
