Former Home and Away star Lincoln Younes rules out Casey Braxton twist

Home and Away actor Lincoln Younes made such an impact playing Casey Braxton between 2011 and 2014, fans are constantly asking if he will make a comeback.

The issue there is that the character is dead.

While soaps have had characters fake their deaths before, Younes has told Yahoo! Lifestyle Australia that he's pretty sure that Casey is proper dead.

"I think the fact that Casey's dead, kind of puts a stop to that narratively," he said with a laugh.

"That was a really perfect chapter in my life. It started and ended in the way that I kind of wanted it to, and it was a really great arc, which you don't always get to experience on long-running shows like Home and Away.

"It just remains something that I look back on really fondly, so I wouldn't ever want to kind of touch that again, because sometimes it's good to leave the party early and leave the magic still there. You don't want to kind of stay too long."

Currently, the actor is playing the leas role in Last King of the Cross, which just wrapped up its first season Paramount+ and also stars Tim Roth. It follows the story of John Ibrahim and his brother, on his journey from being in poverty to being the owner of Sydney's Kings Cross strip.

While being the lead of your own series is likely a lot of fun, there was an amusing/awkward outdoor nude scene that Younes recalled during the interview.

"This neighbour walked out midway through the take and just stared at me while I was naked burning clothes. And I stared [back] at him. That went on for way too long.

"That was quite hilarious… the cast and crew got to know me very intimately, very quickly."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
