Fred Cheng denies splitting with girlfriend to date Sophia Wong

16 Jun – Hong Kong singer-actor Fred Cheng recently denied rumours saying that he and girlfriend, Lesley Chiang have called it quits, after he was spotted having dinner with "The Voice" alumnus, Sophia Wong recently.

According to a report on HK's On CC, the singer was seen chatting happily with Sophia in Tai Hung, before entering a restaurant to have dinner together. They were later seen hurrying into a train station after realising there were paparazzi around.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend Lesley Chiang recently uploaded several photos of her having a meal with Andy On and hugging the actor's pet dog, sparking rumours that she has indeed broken up with Fred and is now dating Andy instead.

However, when asked to address speculations about his relationship with Sophia, Fred stressed that the singer is just a good friend.

"As soon as the news came out, I quickly called Sophia. I was scared that she would be upset, but instead, she was laughing!" said Fred.

In regards to Lesley Chiang's dinner date with Andy On, the singer said that he didn't know about it until he read the news.
