French actress Bonnaire to head Deauville film festival jury

French actress and director Sandrine Bonnaire will head up the jury at this year's 38th edition of the festival of American film in Deauville, France, organisers said on Wednesday.

The festival will take place from August 31 to September 9 and the films in competition and juries will be unveiled at a press conference in Deauville on July 25.

Cesar award-winner Bonnaire, 45, has appeared in films by the biggest names in French cinema including Claude Chabrol, Jacques Rivette and Agnes Varda.

Her second full-length feature, "J'enrage de son absence", was shown out of competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
