Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Celebrate Zaya's 17th Birthday with Sweet Photos of Their Blended Family

Gabrielle Union, Zaya Wade, Dwyane WadeGabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are showering daughter Zaya with love on her special day.
On Wednesday, May 29, the actress, 51, shared photos on Instagram as she celebrated her stepdaughter Zaya's 17th birthday. In one photo, Union and Wade, 42, walk alongside Zaya, who wears a long-sleeve black mini-dress and smiles as she looks at the ground.
Other photos show Union and Zaya posing together throughout the years, wearing matching sweaters and posing outside. "17 🖤 @zayawade," Union captioned her post.

In addition to Zaya, Union is stepmom to Wade's son Zaire, 22, whom he shares with ex-wife Siovaughn Funches, and Xavier, 10, whom he shares with Aja Metoyer. Wade is also the legal guardian of his nephew Dahveon Morris, 21.
Union and Wade are also parents to daughter Kaavia James, 5.
The former basketball player also paid tribute to his daughter on his Instagram, sharing sweet photos with the teenager and some solo shots of Zaya. "Seventeen🎉 @zayawade," he simply captioned his post.
Earlier this month, Wade was joined by Union and his daughter Zaya at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival 2024.
The family stepped out for When We Gather, a night of stand-up curated by Wade at the Miracle Theater in Inglewood, California.
"When we gather, it’s nothing but jokes on jokes on jokes," Wade, and Netflix's Strong Black Lead, captioned a joint post on Instagram, featuring photos of the basketball star and his family smiling together. "Dwyane Wade put together one hell of a show last night at #netflixisajoke."
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the N.Y.C. premiere of The Idea of You in April, Union reflected on her recent college visits with Wade and Zaya, who is in her junior year of high school.
"I think she is so calm about it 'cause I think she knows exactly where she wants to go, but I think she's humoring us with seeing what our country has to offer," Union told the outlet.
"We're stressed out. We're stressed out about her being away from us...[Parents all have the] same nerves and anxieties about sending your babies away. It's tough."
Union also revealed that Zaya has a rough idea of what she wants to study in college.
"She wants to major in astrobiology, so there's only so much help we can offer, to be honest...I was a Sociology major, [so I'm like], 'Girl, you're on your own,' " Union teased.
