Garrison Brown Honored by Arizona Animal Shelter After His Death: ‘Your Memory Has Touched So Many Lives’

On Saturday, the Arizona organization shared a touching tribute on Instagram to Brown — the son of Sister Wives stars Kody and Janelle Brown, who died at age 25 earlier this month.
In the post, the animal shelter said that it has named their cat adoption room after Garrison, in honor of his love and devotion to the felines sheltered there.
“Today, we honor Robert Garrison Brown for his love and compassion towards cats and all animals by naming our Cat Adoption Room after him and the cats he loved and adopted from us ♥️,” the organization said.
“Garrison, your memory has touched so many lives already and will continue to do so here at High Country Humane for years to come. Thank you for sharing your passion for animals with us, we will remember you always," the statement continued.

“🐱 #TogetherForCats #GarrisonBrown #NeverForgotten #Cats,” the caption concluded, also tagging Garrison’s parents, who reshared the post.
Alongside the message, the animal shelter also shared a photo of a plaque that was crafted in Garrison’s memory. The memorial shows him sitting in an armchair and smiling while holding his cats Catthew Patches and Ms. Buttons.
Surrounding the picture read the words, "In Loving Memory. Robert Garrison Brown," with "1998" and "2024" added on each side of the photo.
Garrison died by suicide at age 25 on March 5. His parents Janelle, 54, and Kody, 55, confirmed the news via social media. His brother, 22-year-old Gabriel, discovered him, Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.
A video was also shared in High Country Humane's Saturday post of Development Director Jane Horton speaking about Garrison and his impact on the organization.
“I came in at a very, very sad time, but also at a very unique situation with the passing of Garrison Brown” Horton began. “... He was a cat lover through and through and was an adopter with us, and sadly he took his life."
"… But through that sadness came an outpouring of love from all over the country of people wanting to give gifts in memory of Garrison," she continued.
Horton then said the organization “raised a little over $25,000 in just two weeks time” from supporters since Garrison’s death. “So it’s an amazing gift in his memory and it’s a true testament to the person he was,” she added.

The tribute from the organization comes after Garrison, who adopted three cats from the center, shared the news days before his death that he had welcomed his new cat Ms. Buttons.
“Newest [addition] to my home, Ms Buttons,” Garrison captioned a post. “She’s 9 years old and was on the line for euthanasia but my savior complex couldn’t suffice. #crazycatlady.”
