IBS girlies can relate.

Oprah Winfrey doesn't know why you're being so weird about diarrhea.

Her ride-or-die Gayle King recently responded to headlines claiming that she overshared about her health troubles, stating that Winfrey was not at all upset about her speaking on her hospitalization from a stomach virus.

"I'm here to tell you, favorite listeners, Oprah is OK," King said on Thursday's episode of her SiriusXM program Gayle King in the House. "She had a stomach flu. It wasn't just her. Several people around her got the stomach flu. And I said on air that stuff was coming out of both sides. It was a mess. She had to go to the hospital and she got an IV drip. And I was very clear, she was fine and she is fine."

Recalling a headline that read "Oprah hospitalized, best friend overshares," King clarified, "I didn't overshare. This is the thing, I would've never said anything that I wouldn't say about myself. So I really didn't think it was a big deal. When I told her, she goes, 'I don't know why people are acting like diarrhea is unusual. Sometimes people have it.' So she was not upset about it." Of the public alarm surrounding her hospitalization, King assured listeners that Winfrey "is really, really fine."

Winfrey was scheduled to appear on CBS Mornings on Tuesday to reveal her latest Oprah's Book Club pick (David Wroblewski's Familiaris) to King, but missed it because she came down with the stomach flu. King explained on the broadcast that Winfrey had "stuff coming out of both ends." The following day, King also shared a FaceTime conversation with Winfrey on Instagram. "I was so dehydrated," Winfrey said. "I had a dry mouth and I couldn't keep enough water down to get hydrated, so I went to the emergency room for that, and that's just it."

In conclusion, Winfrey is OK! No need to get flushed.
