GEM Tang's wax figure has been unveiled
12 Dec – Hong Kong singer GEM Tang was pleasantly surprised and in awe as her wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong recently.
As reported on China News, the singer, who attended the unveiling ceremony wearing the same outfit and style as her wax figure, which she wore during her first world tour, was in disbelief after seeing the resemblance of the wax figure to herself.
GEM admitted that it was her first time seeing the completed wax figure since she worked with the sculptors back in November.
"Three years ago, when I had a bad breakup, I went on a vacation to New York and visited the wax museum there. I took a selfie with the figures there on my own. I didn't expect that I will get my own wax figure so soon," she said.
In regard to criticism saying that it is too early for her to have her own wax figure in the museum, GEM said that she is not hurt by the comments and instead feels honoured to be able to be part of the team.
