Farming new artifacts in Genshin Impact is always a hassle. If you're getting Tighnari and Collei in version 3.0, here's some pre-Sumeru artifact builds you can use while farming the new artifact sets. (Photos: HoYoverse)

Farming new artifacts in Genshin Impact is always a hassle.

With the release of version 3.0 and Sumeru, we're getting new characters like Tighnari and Collei that we will need to farm the new artifact sets Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams for.

Let's be honest, it will take days, if not weeks or months, for you to get the optimal artifact set. So, in the meantime, it's better to use pre-Sumeru artifacts so that your Tighnari and Collei can hold their own while you're still building them up to be their best.

With that said, here are some builds you can try to quickly integrate Tighnari and Collei into your team!

Tighnari is Genshin Impact's first 5-star Dendro DPS character, so the artifact sets we will recommend will focus on increasing his damage output.

4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe

The Wanderer's Troupe artifact set is the standard for any Bow DPS character. Not only does it increase its wielder's Elemental Mastery — which is essential to a Dendro character as Dendro is all about elemental reactions — but the full piece set also increases the Charged Attack damage of both Bow and Catalyst wielders by 35%.

The 4-piece set bonus will greatly buff Tighnari’s whole kit, which focuses on Dendro-infused Charged Attacks.

Since the Wanderer's Troupe is also dropped by both Weekly and World Bosses, it's likely that you have some good ones lying around if you've been playing long enough.

2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe, 2-piece Noblesse Oblige

If you want to focus more on Tighnari’s elemental burst, you can’t go wrong with a mix of the Wanderer’s Troupe and Noblesse Oblige artifact sets.

As we said above, the 2-piece set for Wanderer’s Troupe is great for Dendro characters since it increases Elemental Mastery, which is important since Dendro is a reaction-focused element.

The 2-piece set for Noblesse Oblige increases burst damage by 25%, a good buff in general for any character whose burst deals the brunt of their damage.

While the mixed Wanderer's Troupe and Noblesse Oblige build is worse than having 4-piece Wanderer's Troupe instead, the former may be easier to acquire since the Wanderer's Troupe is often dropped by bosses (but maybe not enough for you to have a good 4-piece set lying around) while Noblesse Oblige is such a good artifact set that you should have farmed enough to get a decent 2-piece set.

When using the artifact sets we listed above, here are the main stats you should be looking for:

  • Sands: ATK% or Elemental Mastery

  • Goblet: Elemental Mastery (recommended as off-piece, change to Dendro DMG Bonus asap)

  • Circlet: Crit Rate/Crit DMG

As for substats, Crit Rate/Crit DMG should be your priority since Tighnari is a DPS. Other than that, Elemental Mastery, ATK%, and Energy Recharge substats are also welcome.

If you're also on the fence about which pre-Sumeru weapons to get for Tighnari, the Polar Star and Amos' Bow are good 5-star alternatives for his signature weapon, the Hunter's Path. As for his pre-Sumeru 4-star options, you should go for the Viridescent Hunt or the Stringless.

Collei

Collei is Genshin Impact's first 4-star Dendro support character, with players getting her for free from the Graven Innocence event. As a support character, Collei will have more options available when it comes to pre-Sumeru artifact sets she can use.

4-piece Noblesse Oblige

The 4-piece Noblesse Oblige is the go-to artifact set for any support character, as unleashing their burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20%. If you don’t have a character with the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set in your Sumeru party yet, Collei can easily equip this and be the buffer for your team.

4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate

The Emblem of Severed Fate is hands-down one of the best artifact sets in Genshin Impact, as it gives great bonuses while also being farmed in the most resin-efficient domain in the game.

This set plays more into Collei being your party's burst support, as the 2-piece set's 20% Energy Recharge bonus gives you burst uptime while the 4-piece set bonus increases your burst's damage depending on how much Energy Recharge you have.

2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe, 2-piece Emblem of Severed Fate

This one is bit of a hybrid set for Collei, but it plays well with her element. As mentioned above, Dendro shines in reactive situations.

Having Collei’s Elemental Mastery increased by the 2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe set bonus can work wonders when you’re using her to proc a lot of elemental reactions. Meanwhile, the 2-piece Emblem of Severed Fate set bonus lets you use your burst more to proc more reactions and deal more damage.

When using the artifact sets we listed above, here are the main stats you should be looking for:

  • Sands: Energy Recharge

  • Goblet: Elemental Mastery (recommended as off-piece, change to Dendro DMG Bonus asap)

  • Circlet: Elemental Mastery

As for substats, Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery should be your priority since Collei is a support. Other than that, flat ATK and ATK% are also welcome to help her deal more damage.

As for pre-Sumeru weapons for Collei, go for ones that help her support capabilities. Elegy of the End and Skyward Harp are great 5-star options. As for 4-stars, you can choose to equip her with the Favonius Warbow for more Energy Recharge and to make her your team's battery or the Stringless to give her more Elemental Mastery and damage.

Version 3.0 will be released on 24 August, featuring the arrival of the game's fourth nation, Sumeru, and the new element, Dendro, as well as new characters and a ton of other content.
