Genshin Impact: Who voiced the new playable Sumeru characters?
With the release of Genshin Impact version 3.0, we finally got to meet the first batch of new Sumeru characters — the Avidya Forest Ranger Tighnari and his apprentice (and returning character) Collei, as well as the mysterious, cunning merchant Dori.
Aside from learning about their lore and contribution to the overarching storyline for Sumeru, we’re also interested about how they’ve been brought to life by the voice actors who have joined the roster of talent currently in the game.
So, which actors voice Tighnari, Collei, and Dori? Read on to find out!
Tighnari
EN: Elliot Gindi
Elliot Gindi, a voice actor hailing from Brooklyn, New York, gives life to our fluffy-eared Forest Ranger in the English voice lines.
Before getting to voice Tighnari, he starred in a comedy drama podcast titled “Brimstone Valley Mall”, and was also in a Tabletop RPG Fiction podcast “Undercity”.
He’s also been featured in a few episodes of Pokemon Journeys: The Series in episodes 98 and 99.

JP: Kobayashi Sanae
Tighnari's Japanese voice lines are done by Kobayashi Sanae, a Japanese voice actress currently affiliated with Sigma Seven.
She hails from Shizuoka, Japan and has been voice-acting since 1999.
Kobayashi has voiced numerous characters in a wide range of anime genres, most notably Allen Walker in D.Gray-man, Tenjounin Asuka in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and most recently as Roshuku Shikei in Shin Ikki Tousen.
In games, she has voiced Natasha (or you’ll know her more for her battlesuit “Raven”) in Honkai Impact 3rd, Popo and Nana in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Saga in Arknights.
Collei
EN: Christina Costello
Collei's English voice actor, Christina Costello, is a mixed Middle Eastern talent represented by STARS in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She has dubbed in a couple of anime shows such as Love Live! Superstar, Girls Frontline, and Taisho Otome Fairytale.
She also does voice work for a number of games, audio dramas, commercials, and even e-learning.

JP: Maekawa Ryoko
Collei's Japanese voice lines come from Maekawa Ryoko, a voice actress who hails from Kanagawa, Japan.
She is currently affiliated with Atomic Monkey, and previously voiced mostly supporting characters such as Ayane Mizuno in Tsukigakirei, Kokomi Yoshizawa in Kengan Ashura Pat II, and Sasayama Sayaka in Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V.
In games, she was Wendy in Honkai Impact 3rd, Miwa Mishima in Da Capo 4, and Tenka Osaki in The Idolmasters: Shiny Colors.
Dori
EN: Anjali Kunapaneni
Dori's English voice actor is Anjali Kunapaneni, also a production manager who has been a recurring voice in Genshin Impact, having voiced NPCs like Izumi Naki, Momoko, and Riku from Inazuma.
In anime, they gave life to Danika in Pokemon, Kiriko in Tokyo Twenty Fourth Ward, and Ramzi in Attack on Titan.
In other games, they have voiced Mimi Imimi in Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale, Nerissa in Lucifer Within Us, and Courtney in Pokemon Masters.

JP: Kaneda Tomoko
On the Japanese side, Dori is brought to life by Kaneda Tomoko, a voice actress and radio personality whose career began in 2000.
She’s also from Kanagawa, Japan and is currently affiliated with Across Entertainment.
Kaneda has voiced a number of young and or supporting characters in anime, such as in Bleach, D.N Angel, and InuYasha, as her voice is very high-pitched and childlike, allowing her to be typecasted into younger roles.
She has also been featured in a number of radio drama shows.
Yan Ku is a full-time dog parent, part-time (gacha) gamer, and part-time writer.
