Genshin Impact’s Version 3.5 is coming on 1 March 2023, so strap in, because we’re going back to Mondstadt!

With new additions to look forward to, 3.5 will feature fun events, as well as the debut of both Dehya and Mika as playable characters.

Cyno, Kamisato Ayaka, and Shenhe will also feature in their own reruns.

But before we get into all the details of what to expect in version 3.5, here are the livestream codes; make sure to redeem them before they expire!

  • SB8UJ9H7NH8V - 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora

  • 5SRC28YNNYP9 - 100 Primogems, 5 Hero’s Wit

Dehya, Mika enter the stage

Dehya

Dehya was an integral part in our quest to save the Dendro Archon from the clutches of the Akademiya in the Sumeru Archon Quests.

First introduced as the hired eremite guard for Dunyarzad, Dehya proved her chops as a powerful ally by defeating enemies without as much as a sweat on her brow.

She is a fierce warrior with a big heart, but don’t let that kindness deceive you; when the going gets tough, Dehya will come to your rescue like the legendary blazing Flame Mane she is.

Dehya will be a 5-star Claymore user with Pyro as her element. Her skill will focus on supporting, with her taking the DMG for her teammates as well as applying off-field Pyro DMG and increasing their resistance to interruption. Her burst, similar to Cyno’s, allows her to deal Pyro DMG in hand-to-hand combat in a set amount of time.

After the version 3.5 update, Dehya will join Tighnari as a standard 5-star character.

Mika

Mika, on the other hand, is a part of Grand Master Varka’s expedition team as the Front-line Land Surveyor.

He first appeared in the Weinlesfest Festival with a letter from Varka to the Favonius Knights as a part of the 'Of Ballads and Brews' event in version 3.1. Before joining the expedition, Mika worked under Eula as a cartographer.

He is soft-spoken, but is deeply trusted by Varka, with the Grand Master asserting that if Jean were not available, Mika would be his second choice to get the job done.

Mika will be a 4-star polearm character with Cryo as his element, although he also wields a crossbow when using his skill.

He will be a support character that increases ATK Speed and Physical DMG, and will also be able to restore HP through his burst.

Cyno, Kamisato Ayaka, Shenhe reruns

Cyno will have his first rerun, and will appear alongside Dehya in the first half of the version update.

He is a 5-star Electro Polearm user with one of the longest-lasting burst durations in game, and is a powerful force to be reckoned with.

Cyno acts as the General Mahamatra of the Sumeru Akademiya, and was one of the key characters that led to Sumeru’s reform during the Sumeru Archon Quests.

Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe will both have their first reruns in the second half of version 3.5.

Ayaka is a 5-star Cryo Sword user who has consistently topped the meta with her powerful kit, and is the Shirasagi Himegimi of the Yashiro Commission. She is second-in-command next to her brother, Kamisato Ayato (plus she just had a really cute outfit in the recent Warriors' Spirit event).

Meanwhile, Shenhe is a 5-star Cryo Polearm user whose kit focuses on supporting and buffing Cryo and Physical DMG. She is the human student of the Adeptus Cloud Retainer, became one of the heroes of Liyue after aiding the Traveler in defeating Beisht, Osial’s vengeful wife.

New events and quests

The beloved Mondstadt festival, Windblume, is finally back!

This year's event, called Windblume’s Breath, will feature the return of Collei to Mondstadt, accompanied by Tighnari and Cyno, as the city is preparing to celebrate Windblume.

In the livestream, the story is hinted to be romantic in nature, but we'll have to wait and see how that unfolds.

Beyond the story, a lot of mini-games will also be made available as part of the event. There will be a collecting game, a rhythm game, and a photo-taking game.

Fulfilling these mini games will allow Travellers to get the event-only 4-star Claymore called Mailed Flower and its Ascension materials.

Kaeya and Dainsleif will feature in the 3.5 Archon Quest. (Photo: HoYoverse)

A new Archon quest, “Caribert”, will also be made available, and will continue the story of Dainsleif, Khaenri’ah, and the history of the Abyss Order.

Our Cavalry Captain with no horse, Kaeya, will also feature in this quest, which will probably unveil more of his past before being adopted by Diluc’s father.

With her arrival as a playable character, Dehya’s character story quest will be made available, while Faruzan will also get her own Hangout, which will explore her story as Sumeru’s oldest scholar.

Spices from the West, which is a cooking event which occurred in Liyue, will also have an event rerun, this time occurring in Mondstadt.

Creating the perfect spice will yield a Fragrant Dish that can then be used by Travelers to increase companionship exp

Fungus Mechanicus, which is a continuation of the Beast Tamers tournament, is a mash-up of the fan-favourite Theatre Mechanicus and the Fungi of Sumeru.

Instead of controlling the mechanici, however, this game will have players control Fungi to destroy these totems.

Vibro-Crystal Verification will see the Traveler return to the Chasm, continuing the story of the previous Vibro-Crystal Research event.

This will be a fighting event where players will aid a researcher who’s set to clear the name of the previous researcher, who was accused of faking his data.

For those who just want to spend resin doing some leylines and getting some mats, Leyline Overflow will also make its return, so it's the perfect time to stock up on Mora and Hero’s Wit!

Other updates

  • A system update to the Adventurer’s Handbook will also be added, which will give additional rewards of Intertwined Fates, Mora, and more for every Archon Quest a player has completed.

  • Genius Invokation: TCG will have a new special mode

Genshin Impact also announced a collaboration with Prime Gaming. Travelers who participate in the campaign can receive the cosmetic Wings of Starlit Feast as a special reward.

Prime Gaming members can also claim a Genshin Impact Bundle code for free on the Prime Gaming side, which will let them redeem various in-game items as the Bundle updates every three weeks until May 2023.

If players redeem four or more drops during the duration of the event, the Wings of Starlit Feast will be sent to their in-game mail within 30 working days after the end of all eight drops.

Genshin Impact is currently in version 3.4 until 28 February. Version 3.5 will launch on 1 March after the update.
