The Gentlemen's Kaya Scodelario talks Guy Ritchie's "last-minute" changes to "everything"
The Gentlemen’s Kaya Scodelario has opened up about director Guy Ritchie’s "last-minute" changes to "everything" on the show.
The Skins actress stars in the new eight-part Netflix series, a spin-off of the 2019 film of the same name, which is released today (March 7).
She plays drug baron Susie Glass, who oversees the criminal organisation on behalf of her father Bobby – played by Ray Winstone.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Scodelario opened up about the "unique" experience of working with the show’s creator Ritchie on the series.
She said: "I asked around and I was told it’s an experience that you just have to go into and know that it will be completely different to any other job you’ve worked on. No one could really explain what was different about it. I think you just had to experience it. It’s different."
Scodelario explained the filming process, which often involved Ritchie making major edits to scenes with little notice.
"He changes everything at the last minute," she said, "and he kind of has a clear vision of what he wants it to be when he knows, when it’s there. When you say the right thing, he’s like, 'Great, that’s what it is'. But it’s quite a bit of a journey to find that and that’s actually quite interesting.

"It was intimidating at first and 101 for an actor is learn your lines, be prepared. And this was like, 'Don’t learn your lines, because it’s going to be different', and if you learn them that’s actually more confusing. But I found it quite exciting and a new way of working. It was like a new muscle to flex."
She continued: "[They were] quite big changes sometimes, like a completely different direction of the scene that you thought it was gonna go in, and then you kind of leave going, 'God, did that work'?
"And you watch the edit back and you’re like, it absolutely does, like he clearly knows what he’s doing. And you kind of just have to allow yourself to go on that journey."
