Ghosts' final series confirms premiere date
Ghosts' fifth and final series has confirmed a premiere date for next month.
The acclaimed BBC comedy show was confirmed to be coming to an end earlier this year, with fans now preparing to say goodbye to Button House.
During a preview at the BFI last night (September 19), it was announced that the series will premiere on Friday, October 6 at 8.30pm on BBC One, with the whole series dropping as a boxset on BBC iPlayer on the same day.

Filming on the fifth series wrapped up earlier this year, with the show's creative team sharing a message in March that it would be the last outing.
"After five incredible years haunting the halls of Button House, we have decided that the time is right to let our beloved sitcom Ghosts rest in peace. We have just wrapped filming on our fifth and final series and we can't wait to share it with you all later this year," it said.
"We could never have imagined the reception the show has enjoyed, or the fun we have had making it, and we would like to thank our amazing cast and crew as well as everyone at BBC Comedy, BBC1 and Monumental Television for their tireless support.

"But most of all we'd like to thank everyone who watches. Mathew, Martha, Simon, Jim, Laurence and Ben x."
The BBC's Director of Comedy John Petrie added: "We are officially in mourning for the end of this BBC Comedy Classic. We can't thank the Ghosts team enough for five incredible series (not to mention some perfect Christmas Specials), and we can't wait for BBC viewers to see the final series."
Ghosts, which is led by Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe, follows a young couple who move into a country house that is haunted by a number of ghosts from different periods of history.
Ghosts' fifth and final series will premiere on October 6 at 8.30pm on BBC One.
