On Wednesday, June 12, the former Food Network star, 53, shared a TikTok video with her take on the "Can you watch my boss?" trend that has been circulating around the platform.
In the clip, the camera is suddenly shoved in front of De Laurentiis, as her employee asks the viewer, "Can you guys watch my boss for second? I gotta run inside."
The trend, for those not extremely online, involves a TikToker asking the audience the titular question before showing that their boss is usually someone quite famous. The employee then walks away as they leave the camera behind to capture their boss's confused reaction.
De Laurentiis' reaction was no different — as she stands on the back patio of her California house, she gives the camera a confused shrug after her employee walks away. "What is happening here?" says the chef. She proceeds to walk over to where her two young employees are hiding near her back door, and asks them, "What are you f------ doing?" as they giggle away.
"Note to self: stay up to date with trends 📝," De Laurentiis joked in the caption.
The Giadzy founder's comment section seemed to be enamored by the video — and by De Laurentiis' "sailor mouth."
"I love how she cusses like a sailor!" one fan wrote in the comment section. "Not @Giada De Laurentiis dropping the f-bomb 🤣 😂," another chimed in.
Another wrote, "The scream I screamed when I heard you curse! Giada swears!!! I Love it! 🤣."
This trend has been making its way to several other celebrity TikTok pages — including Gordon Ramsey's. In a video shared back in May, one of the Hell's Kitchen star's employees asked viewers the same question — "Hey guys, can you watch my boss for sec?" — as Ramsey was right in the middle of chopping zucchini.
"What the f--- are you doing?" he asked with an eye roll. "You got too much time on your hands, f------ around."
