FYI: A ‘Gilmore Girls’ cookbook exists for all of your Stars Hollow-loving cravings

Look, there are more or less a million things that I didn’t know I needed in my life — like an exact lookalike of the “Lavender Haze” coat Taylor Swift wears onstage during the Eras Tour. One thing I did know I needed was an official Gilmore Girls cookbook. And, um, besties, it exists!!

Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook brings over 50 recipes straight from — and inspired by — everyone’s favorite cozy show. It’s never been easier to fill your belly with recipes from the Dragonfly Inn, Weston’s Bakery, Al’s Pancake World, Luke’s Diner and even Friday Night Dinner. I highly recommend flipping through this while sipping your morning cup of coffee in an IV.

And before you ask, yes, there is a recipe for Luke’s cheeseburger and fries. Thank you to authors Elena Craig and Kristen Mulrooney for giving the people what they want.

The book also features dreamy and nostalgic pictures of our favorite fictional town.

Look, I could write a whole dissertation about how Gilmore Girls is the ultimate cozy fall show and how I don’t feel whole unless I hear Carole King crooning, “If you’re out on the road…” — but I won’t. I know that if you’re here, reading this, that you agree with me. Instead, I need to talk about the recipes that I desperately need to try from Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook.

Of course, the cookbook is full of ingenious and unreasonably ridiculous creations straight from Lorelai and Rory’s house. You’ve got your Homemade Toaster Pastries, Dessert Sushi, Rory’s Pretzels from Around the World, Movie Night Snack Board, Salad in a Bag and Lorelai’s Giant Birthday Pizza.

Obviously, everything from Luke’s Diner is on my list. From a Hot Fudge Sundae with Grapefruit on the Side to Caesar’s Salad (not to be confused with a Caesar Salad!!) and the Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes, I can feel Luke’s “No Cell Phones” sign staring me down.

There’s even a recipe for the perfect Friday Night Dinner with Emily & Richard. The very elegant and actually impressive meal includes Rory’s favorite pot roast, potatoes, rolls, chocolate cake and coffee.

Um, and you better believe the drinks are impeccable, too. You can study tips on how to make super strong coffee with the recipe Coffee in an IV and sip on the really sweet, really pink non-martini served in a martini glass The Rory Drink. And even though I am the amateur ambushing my own kitchen, I will happily be sipping on Sookie’s Survival Margaritas.

Anyways, thank you Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook. Thank you for existing.

The book also features dreamy and nostalgic pictures of our favorite fictional town.
