Gladiators reboot series confirms January release window
BBC's Gladiators has confirmed the upcoming reboot will make its way to TV screens early next year.
The announcement was made during Saturday's live final of Strictly Come Dancing, as cast members Fire, Niro, Giant and Fury appeared in full costume alongside Claudia Winkleman to deliver the voting terms and conditions before revealing the exciting news about their own show.
Asked if they knew when the series would begin airing, Fire revealed that the premiere was not too far away and would start at the "beginning of the new year".
"Beginning of the new year? Let's not be more specific then that," Claudia replied jokingly, before moving on to the next segment.

An official release date is yet to be revealed. However, a brief teaser appeared at the end of the programme, featuring the show's logo and the words "Coming Soon".
Originally premiering on ITV back in 1992, Gladiators sees a number of contestants go head-to-head against elite athletes and bodybuilders (known as 'The Gladiators') in a series of speed and strength challenges.
The original series ran until 2000, before enjoying a brief revival during the late 2000s on Sky.
A new 16 member line-up was confirmed earlier in the year. However, it was later revealed that two of the gladiators, Comet and Sabre, have had to step away from filming due to sustaining injuries.

Challenges included in the new series will be a mix of brand-new games as well as returning classics such as Duel, Hang Tough and The Eliminator.
The Chase's Bradley Walsh will be presenting the series alongside his son Barney. Speaking about the role in a statement, the presenter said: "Wow! I can't believe that I’ve been asked to be part of this iconic show.
"Saturday night family entertainment at its best... ARE YOU READY?!"
Gladiators will air on BBC One and iPlayer in January 2024.
