A goalkeeper's goal spurs a 60-mile charity trek

STORY: Polish soccer fan Jan Jurek in February pledged online to walk to the stadium of any team whose goalkeeper scored in Poland's top-flight soccer league.

And on April 1st his wager came through.

"If I remember well, on February 7 I made a post that if a goalkeeper scores a goal before the season ends, then I will go on foot to the stadium of a club he is playing for. And it happened on April 1, on April's Fool, I woke up and saw the whole internet is talking about Gabriel Kobylak. The goalkeeper of Radomiak Radom scored a goal from 80 meters. I saw it and I remembered my old post, I reposted it but I didn't expect it will become viral."

Jurek set off from the south-eastern town of Sandomierz to Radom, over 60 miles south of Warsaw, for a Radomiak match.

Navigating through muddy village tracks and national highways, he said it was all worth it.

Before the match, he was presented with a signed jersey by the Radom's keeper whose goal made the challenge happen.
