Friday's (March 8) episode of Gogglebox saw Jenny and Lee hilariously compare themselves to Netflix's One Day.

As the cast watched main characters Emma and Dexter discuss their will-they-won't-they relationship in an episode of the hit romance drama, the Hull-based friends contemplated whether many friendships do go to the next level.

"There's a lot of relationships, Lee, that'll have been like this," said Jenny, to which Lee replied: "What, friends for years and years?"

"I don't wanna shag you?" Lee quickly added, before Jenny quipped: "Well no, that's because you're not made that way. Are you?"

"Even if I wasn't?" a horrified Lee then said, with Jenny adding: "You never know."

The show's viewers were quick to share their reactions to the hilarious interaction on X — formerly Twitter. "Looool Lee," one person wrote, alongside a group of laughing emojis.

"Lee and Jenny never fail to crack me up!" another added, while a third viewer said: "Lee's face," alongside crying laughing emojis.

As One Day continued, the cast shared how much they're enjoying the series, with Julie Malone saying: "I'm loving this you know, this One Day, it's lovely."

Tristan Plummer commented: "I like a bit of romantic stuff to be fair," with his brother Tremaine quipping: "Just not in your own life."

"I feel like this programme keeps you hanging on a piece of string because it's a will-they-won't-they get together," added Sophie Sandiford.

The episode also saw the professional TV watchers react to the latest episodes of Sort Your Life Out, Trigger Point, Into the Congo with Ben Fogle, Earthsounds, This Morning and all the newlywed drama on Married at First Sight Australia.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
