Gordon Lam apologises to Candy Cheung

26 Apr - Hong Kong actor Gordon Lam has recently expressed his apology for being rude towards Best New Performer nominee, Candy Cheung.

Previously, Gordon received a lot of flak for his hosting job at the 34th Hong Kong Film Awards, when he didn't pronounce Candy's name properly while introducing her, and nonchalantly stated that he has never seen her movie, "Dot 2 Dot".

As reported on Epoch Times, on 22 April, Gordon addressed the issue for the first time, saying, "Some people were not happy about it. I hope she won't mind. I would like to say I am sorry and clear the atmosphere."

As for the criticisms about his fellow co-host Jordan Chan, who stuttered during the show, Gordon quickly came to his defence, saying, "I felt sorry for him. At the time, he had to travel back and forth between mainland and Hong Kong, and attend the dress rehearsal as well."
