Do It Anyway will show the world a new side to Cobbs Leonard, who was named Billboard’s Top Gospel Artist of the Decade in 2020. In the book, she writes about how faith helped guide her throughout her life, from her early days as an aspiring singer to personal experiences that will resonate with many readers, such as infertility, depression and weight loss.

Cobbs Leonard, who is also a pastor, details how faith helped her throughout her experience with adoption in the book, too. Cobbs Leonard and her husband, Kenneth Leonard, adopted their son Asher in 2022, and Cobbs Leonard says that the now-toddler is keeping her on her toes.

Cobbs Leonard also noted that Asher is hitting some important milestones, such as learning the alphabet and colors. He even has some musical inclination of his own.

“Asher is a rising musician, focusing on drums and keyboards for now!" Cobbs Leonard says. "He is super athletic, ultra-inquisitive and the sweetest boy ever!”

Motherhood, Cobbs Leonard explains, doesn’t come without its challenges, especially as she tries to balance parenting with her work.

“As a touring artist, it’s always challenging leaving my children for days at a time. I am encouraged in knowing that just as God has equipped me to travel the world and inspire others," she says, “God has graced my children with all they need to manage the demands of our family purpose.”
