Great British Bake Off winner "devastated" after trophy is smashed
The Great British Bake Off champion Candice Brown has explained that she is "devastated" after her commemorative trophy for winning the show was smashed.
Brown competed on and won the last iteration of the show to be broadcast on the BBC and to be fronted by the quartet of Mel Giedroyc, Sue Perkins, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, in 2016.
She took home the trophy – but is now looking for a replacement after an accident shattered the plate in two.
"Anyone know where I can get a new one of these???" she asked above a picture of the incident on X (formerly Twitter).

Fans in the suggestions of Brown's comments have come up with a variety of ways to help remedy the situation.
"Surely they can get you another, can't they?" one asked, referring to the show.
Another joked that Brown will, "have to register as a contestant again and get a new one!" and a third even suggested that she take a trip to The Repair Shop.

Since winning the show, she has released her own cookbooks, appeared on Dancing on Ice and even won Celebrity Mastermind.
The former champ has also previously appeared on a version of The Great New Year's Bake Off.
