Great British Sewing Bee announce surprise channel swap
The Great British Sewing Bee has announced a surprise channel swap for this week’s episode, with the instalment set to air on BBC Two.
The move comes as part of the broadcaster’s coverage of UEFA Euro 2024, with Tuesday’s (June 18) match between Portugal and Czechia being aired on BBC One.
This has meant that the latest episode of Sewing Bee has been moved, with the official media channels for the show confirming the news via X/Twitter.

“We're welcoming special guest judge @Hiyapriya for India Week. Tuesday 18th June at 9pm on BBC Two. #SewingBee” reads the caption on the post, which includes a photo of host Kiell Smith-Bynoe alongside judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young, as well as guest judge Priya Khanchandani.
Smith-Bynoe has taken over presenting duties during the 10th series of the show, with regular host Sara Pascoe out on maternity leave. The presenter received rave reviews upon the series launch on May 21, with several fans praising him for his work.
“Kiell has the energy of someone who thought he’d signed up to co-host Pointless but has randomly ended up on the Sewing Bee and is just winging it, by which I mean he’s perfect. #SewingBee,” wrote one fan.

“I didn't expect to enjoy Kiell as host of #sewingbee but I did. It was nice to have someone less manic this series and let the contestants and their work do the talking,” wrote another fan, with a third adding: “Kiell's great. 4 presenters and they haven't had a bad one yet tbh #SewingBee”
