Hannah Waddingham won’t stand for disrespect on the red carpet.

The Ted Lasso actress, 49, called out a photographer who asked her to “show me leg” ahead of the Olivier Awards in London on Sunday, April 14. In a video shared to X (formerly Twitter) by user @odeiotedlasso, Waddingham, who hosted the awards ceremony, prepares to pose for photos on a set of stone stairs, wearing a one-shoulder beaded lavender gown with a thigh-high slit.

The photographer’s comment is inaudible, but Waddingham quickly becomes visibly upset and replies, “Oh my god. You’d never say that to a man, my friend.”

She adds, “Don’t be a dick, otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say, ‘Show me leg.’ No.”

Waddingham then walks away from the crowd while waving her hand and pointing in the direction of the photographer as the crowd cheers.

“Long story short: hannah was being her gorgeous self and the made some comment about her leg we couldn't quite make out and... well, the video speaks for itself,” the X user captioned the clip. “This woman is a role model. Always, always call pricks out on their bullshit.”

In a separate post, the user shared, “I not only saw hannah waddingham but i saw hannah waddingham being pissed at an asshole misogynistic prick photographer and calling him off on it and i never yelled MOTHER so loud.”

In January 2024, Waddingham, who portrayed Rebecca Welton on the beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, revealed that she was “constantly asking” to take home items from her character’s wardrobe.

“I was constantly asking — first of all, I don’t think of it as stealing. I think it's lovingly rehoming…” she told PEOPLE’s Breanne L. Heldman at the PEOPLE X IHG Conversation with the Cast of Ted Lasso event. “Actually, my things were not material things. I can't tell you how many times I asked about clothes and shoes and hats and coats, seeing as I chose them anyway.”

The actress said she ultimately took the army man that Jason Sudeikis’ titular Ted Lasso gives her character in the second episode of the Emmy-winning series.

Waddingham told Sudeikis, “When you give me the army man, I kept him zipped in my hero bag, my gray Dolce [& Gabbana] bag, which someone threw across the set one day and I was like, what are you doing?”

The star said that she also took a first class ticket her character takes to get through the airport in the show’s third season finale and a storyboard from the final scene.
