Harold Perrineau and Josh Holloway have a mini-“Lost” reunion with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff

No sign of WALT!!!, though.

Michael and Sawyer are setting aside their differences to hang out with Kamala Harris’ husband.

Harold Perrineau shared a photo of himself alongside his former Lost costar Josh Holloway and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff on social media on Tuesday. The trio didn’t meet up to reminisce about the Dharma Initiative or Oceanic Airlines, though — instead, they talked about how men can contribute to the conversation surrounding abortion rights, according to the Romeo + Juliet star’s caption.

“Last week I was invited to a conversation with a room full of extremely smart, compassionate, and passionate men to discuss abortion rights and reproductive responsibility,” Perrineau wrote.
“I LEARNED A LOT! #educatingmyself.” The actor went on to thank the hosts of the event, Heidi Lindelof, an activist from the Center for Reproductive Rights, and her husband Damon Lindelof, the creator and showrunner of Lost.

In a second photo from the same post, Perrineau and Holloway posed with filmmaker Reginald Hudlin, the director behind House Party and Boomerang. Hudlin goes way back with the Emhoff-Harris family — his wife, Chrisette, is a longtime friend of Harris, and is the one who set the future Vice President up on a blind date with Emhoff, whom the Hudlins met for a business meeting back when the Second Gentleman worked as an entertainment lawyer.

Though Holloway’s Sawyer and Perrineau’s Michael often came to blows on the island, the actors are actually good friends off-screen — they and fellow raftie Daniel Dae Kim frequently share photos of themselves hanging out as well as throwbacks from the show.

In 2022, Perrineau told Entertainment Weekly how he feels about Lost in hindsight. "I will endlessly be proud of being part of that show and bringing Michael to the screen," the actor said. "I know people did not like Michael, and to this day, I'm confused, like Michael didn't kill his dad. He didn't set fire to his mom's house. He wasn't a conman. He was a dude who had a son that got taken away from him. He went to get him back, and the world went nuts."

Perrineau also told EW about his criticisms of the show’s racial optics and lack of other Black characters. "What I said about Black characters in the show, I still stand by those things, not taking out anything on the writers. They were just like moments that I thought were lost,” he said. "Those first couple years I was pretty salty about it. And yes, we had lots of conversations and I understood [Lindelof’s] point of view. He understood my point of view, but we stood where we stood. And then as the years went by, I guess he had many other conversations with lots of other people, he started writing really amazing things.”
