HDB launches revamped showflats for all flat types

HDB has revamped its showflat space at HDB Hub to showcase the latest in HDB flat designs, interior design ideas and renovation tips.

Now known as My Nice Home Gallery, it was launched today by Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan.

The gallery features five fully furnished HDB showflats; Studio Apartment (pictured), and two to five-room units, making it the first time that showflats are available for all five flat types.

Additionally, eco-friendly features and elderly-friendly fittings have also been included in the new flats for the first time.

HDB CEO Cheong Koon Hean said, The HDB flat today is more than just a roof over the heads of Singaporeans it is a home that they look forward to coming back to at the end of each day. To help make that HDB home the best home possible, we continually strive to refine the designs of our flats, so that they keep pace with the changing demographic and lifestyle trends of Singaporeans.

Home-buying and dcor tips are also available through HDB InfoWEB and MyNiceHome website, he added.

75,000 new flats are expected to be completed from 2015 to 2017, and flat buyers can visit the showflats for interior design and furnishing ideas as well as renovation tips when it comes to customising their flat to suit their lifestyle.
