My Hero Academia has confirmed the release date for its seventh season with a full-length trailer.

The anime, which is based on works originally created by Kōhei Horikoshi, will receive its seventh season with a premiere on May 4, 2024.

Prior to that, as confirmed on the Crunchyroll website, a four-part series called My Hero Academia: Memories will air. The special episodes will be broadcast on April 6, 13, 20 and 27, looking back at events so far along with "some new scenes that lead into the seventh season of the series".

My Hero Academia is set in a world where around 80% of the human population has gained superpowers called 'Quirks'.

The series follows Izuku Midoriya, who was born without a Quirk, and his classmates at UA High School as they work towards becoming heroes.

Season six, which concluded in March, saw the villainous All for One breaking out of prison and gathering an army of baddies.

The newly-released trailer for season seven has teased clashes aplenty between Izuku and All for One – and everyone in between.

It also teases the arrival of the hero 'Star and Stripe'. If the story of the anime follows its print predecessor, season seven of My Hero Academia could deal with the fallout from the US-based supe's devastating defeat following her battle with All for One.

Again, if the TV series follows the storylines in the manga, season seven could also cover a betrayal from within the ranks of Class 1A, and resolve the long-running Todoroki family drama.

And, of course, the combined forces of All for One and Shigaraki, and the dastardly League of Villains will be going up against the beloved Class of 1A.

Season six of the anime was released last year, and season seven was confirmed during the end credits of the season six finale.

The franchise has become one of the best-selling manga titles of all time, with 85 million copies in circulation. A fourth My Hero Academia film is also in the works.

My Hero Academia season 7 will be released on May 4, 2024. The series is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
