Hillarie Parungao ready to win Miss World 2015

The pageant hopeful wants to be the second Filipina to win the title

18 Dec - While Pia Wurtzbach is working hard to win the 2015 Miss Universe, another pageant hopeful, Hillarie Parungao, is doing the same for the upcoming Miss World pageant.

As reported on Asian Journal, the 24-year-old Nueva Vizcaya lass, who is currently in Sanya, China for the preliminary rounds before the big day, revealed that she is ready to face the competition.

"I will say that I am 100 percent ready ever since I won the [Miss World Philippines] competition because this is something that I want to do for my country, myself, and my family," said Parungao.

Parungao is no stranger to beauty pageants. Aside from winning Miss World Philippines earlier in October, the print model was also placed fourth in the Miss Asia Pacific World competition last year.

But it's not enough to just represent the country. Parungao stated that she is hoping to become the second Filipina to hold the Miss World title, after Megan Young, who won the crown in 2013.

The 65th Miss World pageant will be held at the Crown Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China this 19 December.
