Hoda Kotb is filling a blank space in her memory.

On Wednesday's episode of her podcast Making Space with Hoda Kotb, the Today Show co-host, 59, explained that there is a specific Taylor Swift song that reminds her of the first time she held her daughter Hope, now 4.

Recounting the story to Fox NFL reporter Erin Andrews, Kotb says, "I'm looking at Hope, and she's looking at me, and the song comes on and all of a sudden I get —" before getting cut off by Andrews, who says "I'm crying."

Kotb continues, saying "I go, 'Hope, you know what this is reminding me of? And she goes, 'Your eyes are wet.' I go, 'Enchanted to meet you.'"

The line "enchanted to meet you" comes from Swift's song "Enchanted," which Kotb said listening to with Hope made her emotional.

"I go, 'Hopey, the first time you were placed in my arms, I realized that's the word," Kotb says. "She said, 'What does enchanted mean?' I said, 'Enchanted means...it's more than delighted. It's the best, biggest word.'"

"And in that moment, I thought to myself, 'Oh my god, in two minutes, we made a memory.'" Kotb remembers. "I could have been running — because I usually am, like, 'Oh my god, get this, get your coat, get your coat.' It's just like trying to slow the world down."

Alongside daughter Hope, Kotb is mom to daughter Haley, 6.

The mom of two brought her younger daughter out on stage with her as she attended her high school's 60th celebration in Alexandria, Virginia.

Recounting the story of Today with Hoda & Jenna, Kotb said that she was able to bring Hope out with her as she delivered the keynote address.

"And so when I was at my reunion, I said, 'And she's here,'" Kotb told co-host Jenna Bush Hager. "Little Hope came buzzing up on the stage, not afraid of anything, wearing my old high school cheerleading uniform. Anyway, it was a fun, fun weekend. I got to see old friends. It was so cool."

"It was one of those kind of 'pinch-me' amazing moments," Kotb concluded. "It was beautiful and I want to say thank you to all the Fort Hunt Federals. Let's go!"
