Hollyoaks airs huge counterfeit cash twist for Damon

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

On tonight's E4 first-look Hollyoaks (April 18), Damon Kinsella made a surprising decision after taking Grace Black's bag of counterfeit money.

On the day of the Casino Night, Grace went to see Damon looking for the bag of counterfeit money he had taken.

Arriving at the Love Boat, Grace demanded the money back saying that Damon had taken her property. However, Damon refused to give in saying that instead of threatening him, she should be thanking him for not taking the money to the police.

Damon then asked Grace if she'd even given a second thought to the innocent people she was going to swindle at the Casino Night, but Grace said the people coming have more money than sense.

But Damon still wouldn't give in to her, pointing out that he and James Nightingale were examples of the terrible effects gambling could have on people. He also pointed out that if Grace gets caught, Cindy and Zara would be dragged down with her.

As Grace tried to tell him that her fake money was so good she'd never be caught, Damon put his foot down and said he'd destroy the money.

Meanwhile, Zara was concerned about the Casino Night but Cindy tried to reassure her that there was no way Damon wouldn't cave to Grace over the counterfeit money. Grace then soon appeared and told Cindy and Zara she'd failed to get the money back.

However. Cindy thought she had more of a chance with Damon, saying she'd appeal to him by reminding him that the night was really about Luke's legacy. Cindy then went to the Love Boat just as Damon was about to burn the money and told him she needed it to save the market for Luke because it meant so much to him.

Her plea seemed to have worked, as Cindy later turned up to the Casino Night with the bag of fake money. As Cindy, Grace and Zara prepared to get things underway, Cindy noticed that Alex from the bank (the one who wouldn't give her a loan) was in attendance.

As the night began, things seemed to be going to plan as Francis was spending big while Zara kept his drink topped up. However, things took a turn when Alex confronted Cindy and told her it's time to admit she's lost.

The night ended with Francis deciding to take a cab home after losing too much money but before he drove off Cindy worried that he'd try and pay for his ride with fake money and their con would be exposed.

Cindy then tried to offer him money to pay for the cab but he refused to take it and walked off, not realising that his bank card had dropped from his wallet. Cindy then picked up the card and put it in her pocket.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
